Life brings people together and at the right time for a reason.

Sofia started TerrAzoia, a community farm and agro-tourism after having inherited a stunning land in Azoia, Sintra. Just prior to COVID, she realized that she wanted to focus more on the community farm and to create a tourism of experiences instead of a B&B. 

​

That is when Rita entered into this story. Rita (an accountant turned farmer over 15 years ago) was looking for land, and Sofia, someone to help her with it.  These two became an amazing team, even though they can be both extremely stubborn. They complement each other and are always there for one another.

COVID quarantine started, and TerrAzoia opened its doors to the local musicians. While the world seemed to have come to a halt, we were thriving. We had over 30 volunteers on a daily basis, were able to help feed many families with produce from the farm and even created outdoors music events for the musicians to keep on earning some coins, while we created farm-to-table thematic dinners.

And one day, Leo ventured down our crazy farm steps to meet us. He was the perfect person to add to the team. An interior and landscape designer, fantastic cook, our own Gaudi artist. He came, and stayed.

So when we sold the land in Sintra and were looking into another piece of land, the three of us went on an excursion. In two days, we visited various areas, looking for our next paradise. The two requests we all agreed upon, a flat land to cultivate and water nearby.

Well, within less than a month, we found it. Close to the town of Tomar, our land is promising and right on Rio Nabão!
